What you can take with you on the plane
People often ask what they can take with them on an airplane. What to take as hand luggage, and what is better left in the luggage. A not uncommon question is what is prohibited to take on an airplane? And most importantly, what to take with you on a trip. There are some general rules that will help you.
– Learn the rules for importing/exporting items into/out of the country so you don’t run into problems with law enforcement (for example, you can’t take coral out of Egypt and a number of other countries unless it’s store-bought);
– Before your flight, read the baggage and carry-on baggage rules of the airline you are flying with – each company may have individual rules (usually a bag weighing between 5 and 10 kg is allowed in your hand luggage);
– If you are afraid of being overweight and do not want to pay extra for your baggage, weigh your bag on a scale or find a measuring counter at the airport;
– Put most of your belongings in your luggage, and take only the essentials on board – that way you won’t have to fight with your neighbors for luggage space in the cabin;
– Do not put valuable and fragile things (documents and equipment) in your luggage – it happens that luggage is lost and fragile things are broken.

THAT YOU CAN’T TAKE ON AN AIRPLANE:
1. Liquids, gels, aerosols
Everyone knows (and many people are frightened) about the restrictions on carrying liquids, gels, creams and aerosols in hand luggage. The restrictions apply to: water, drinks, pastes (including toothpaste), creams, oils, perfumes, lotions, sprays, gels, pressurized cans (including deodorants), mascara and other substances. There is no need to be frightened: the transportation of these substances is allowed, but under certain conditions.
The main thing to remember is that the volume of one container of liquid should not exceed 100 ml.
Ideally, all this should be packed in a special transparent plastic bag with a special clasp with a volume of no more than 1 liter.
In fact, why would you need, for example, a shower gel of 250 ml in the cabin of an airplane?
Therefore, carefully consider what you will take on board.
If you still need the notorious shower gel, it is easier to put it in the luggage and not to worry about it.
Also remember that each passenger is entitled to have only one such bag as hand luggage.
Remember that a bottle of, for example, 200 ml filled only a quarter full will count as 200 ml.
If you already have an open bottle with a drink (no matter whether it is water or yogurt), it will be taken away.
It is better to buy drinks after the inspection – in duty-free.
The purchase must be packed in a branded bag and sealed.
The exceptions are baby food and medicines.
2. Anything with a stabbing or cutting edge.
Do not take needles, corkscrews, knives, scissors, knitting needles, penknives, etc. on the plane. It is better to put all of these things in your luggage so that you don’t have to buy them at your destination. Even seemingly innocent items such as a nail file and manicure scissors can arouse the suspicion of the security service, and be confiscated.

3. Weapons and imitation weapons
We think that this point will not surprise anyone – for security reasons, no one will let you on board an airplane with a weapon. Besides, if you have bought your child a toy gun and he does not want to part with it during the flight, alas, there will be problems. You will not be allowed into the cabin of the airplane with an imitation weapon – you will have to either put it in the luggage or throw it away.
4. Alcohol
Alcohol is allowed only in your baggage (the export and import regulations for alcoholic beverages depend on the country of departure and arrival). The exception is alcohol purchased at Duty Free or on board the airplane.
5. Other subjects
We advise you to consult the official website of your airline and the legislation of the country you are flying to before the flight and see what you can’t take on board the airplane according to their rules – it may be due to quarantine or some events in the country.

YOU NEED TO TAKE WITH YOU:
1. Gadgets
First of all, you should take all the electronic gadgets you have on the plane to make sure that everything is safe and sound. Besides, if you have to spend quite a lot of time on the flight, they will brighten up your flight hours: you can watch a movie on your laptop, listen to music on your player, read on your tablet, and take pictures of the view from the window.
2. Documents and money
Of course, documents and money are another important item that should not be forgotten. Imagine what will happen if they are left in the luggage that is lost? That’s why you should definitely take money and documents with you into the cabin of the airplane and keep them with you. And without the main documents (e.g. passport) you will not be able to pass the border control and will not be allowed to take your luggage.
3. Medications
Take a minimum set of essential medicines – allergy medications if you have them, motion sickness, mild painkillers (analgesics) and antipyretics. Especially if you are sick – remedies for a runny nose, for example, or cough. Read below about what medicines you can take on an airplane.
4. Wet Wipes
Wet wipes are definitely worth taking on an airplane.
What if you drop a piece of greasy food on yourself?
In addition, they can be used to sanitize your hands before eating or simply to “wash your face, neck and hands” without leaving your seat.
5. Driving
It is okay to take food on the plane! Some people don’t get enough of what they are given on airplanes, or they don’t like the food. or they simply oversleep their meals (especially on long overnight flights), or they have a long layover and everything is very expensive at the airport…. There are many reasons to take food on the plane.
If you are flying on a low-cost carrier, remember that you will not be fed for free.
It is better to take food on the plane that is not prohibited for import into the country you are flying to (animal products are often prohibited).
It is not recommended to take perishable, peculiarly smelling and highly crumbly foods into the cabin.
We advise you to place food in special transparent containers to simplify and speed up the inspection procedure.
MUST NOT be taken on the airplane (cannot be taken as hand luggage or carried in luggage):
– magnetized substances;
– explosives;
– weapons and ammunition;
– poisonous and toxic substances;
– flammable liquids;
– flammable solids;
– radioactive materials;
– compressed and liquefied gases;
– toxic substances;
– caustic and corrosive substances;

If you have oversized and non-standard luggage, pets and other exceptional cases, please contact the airline representatives – they will always help you.
